The Registered Nurse (RN) has accountability and responsibility for clinical decision making and coordination of a patients' care during an assigned shift or throughout the length of stay on a unit. She/he provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Maine State Board of Nursing. In addition abides by the principles of Relationship Based Care and the Clinical Practice Model Framework in order to achieve Patient and Family-Centered Care as defined by MaineGeneral Medical Center (MGMC). May be required to work on other nursing units to include cross-campus per floating policy.
Qualifications/Requirements:

1 year of relevant RN experiencerequired.

Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor''s degree (BSN) is preferred.

Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact( ). If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency toMaine.

BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
ACLS certificationis required within 6 months of hire.

PALS andMOAB (Managemernt of Aggressive Behavior) certifications are both required within 1 year of hire.
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Ability to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively

Ability to communicate clearly with patient, families, visitors, healthcare team, Physicians, administrators, leadership and others

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship

Ability to record activities, document assessments, plan of care, interventions, evaluation and re-evaluation of patient status.

Ability to use computer and learn software programs

Able to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper documentation tools.

Working knowledge appropriate JCAHO and other regulatory requirements.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
