The Director of Case Management has the responsibility of supporting the mission of the
hospital, which is to provide patients with the highest quality of healthcare within an
atmosphere of genuine caring. Under the supervision of the CFO, the Case Management
Director directs nursing, initiates, develops, directs, and maintains the policies and
procedures pertaining to the administrative and professional requirements of the DRG/UM
program. Assumes responsibility for application of the UR plan in order to promote effective
and efficient use of hospital resources and provide for high quality health care. Supervises
and coordinates department personnel so as to promote teamwork with physicians and
personnel of other departments.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license as a registered
nurse in the State of Oklahoma or through reciprocity ably to obtain an Oklahoma license.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years hospital nursing experience.
Minimum of two (2) years experience working with prospective payment activities
(DRG'S, U.R. PRO).
Ability to develop and maintain good rapport with physicians, nursing staff,
department managers and other hospital staff.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Demonstrates leadership and teaching skills.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current Oklahoma State License for Registered Nurse or ability to obtain through
reciprocity.
Current BCLS through American Heart Association
