Ability to lift 25-75 lbs. Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels. Understanding units of measurement and perform general mathmatical quotations. Read and use a tape measure. Qualified candidates must be safety conscious and manufacturing or similar experience is helpful; solid work background.
This position requires that material including glass be moved from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the glass/object throughout the plant. Muscular, cardiovascular and upper/lower body manipulation is used to move the glass/object through the glass fabrication process (bending, twisting and reaching). Gripping, cupping, clamping hand and wris motions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others. The on/off loading of glass from tables rolling racks, delivery trucks or wood crated for eight or more hours daily. Postions required standing and walking on a concrete floor, working under floor lighting, wearing steel-toed boots. Work hours vary as to number of hours and start and stop times. Overtime is required when workloads warrant it. In addition, the employee must be able to hear commands in a noisy atomosphere. The team concept instituted for shop floor production workers required each worker to perform different functions on a rotation basis. therefore, all functions are considered essential for the job.
