Job Summary
Under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist, administer various types of anesthetics to render appropriate level of anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, radiological, diagnostic, and endoscopic procedures. The anesthetist participates in the full range of peri-anesthetic care from the preop to post anesthesia period. Care is provided to a wide variety of patients including neonates through geriatrics; those healthy as well as those with multiple co-morbidities.

Required Certifications, Registration or Licensure
Current RN licensure for the State of Michigan
Current Michigan Specialty Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist for the State of Michigan
Current Certification or Recertification from the National Board of Certification or Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
Current BLS/ACLS provider status from American Heart Association
PALS preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Education
Graduation from a nurse anesthesia education program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education programs.
Minimum Work Experience
One year work experience as a CRNA preferred
