Directs all activities for a particular business specialty within Online business.Responsible for meeting financial plans & expectations.Works with other business units to improve business performance and insure that the business goals are supporting enterprise goals and strategies.
Responsible for all marketing spend for their business within the Online business unit.Works with the respective marketing managers to optimize financial returns on all marketing expenditures.Expected to meet or exceed marketing revenue targets while staying within planned spending limits.Manage the online marketing budget as a portfolio providing maximum profitability.
Play key role in monitoring, evaluating, and improving business operations and performance of their business to ensure success for the entire Online business unit.
May manage a team of 1-5 individuals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
o Direct all activities within the business
o Insure coordination among departments to constantly improve business performance
o Lead business planning to maintain synergy with Online business objectives
o Leverage ongoing Online initiatives when applicable to their business
o Regularly provide timely reporting on business performance and issues impacting to the VP/GM, eCommerce
o Review financial returns of all marketing initiatives to insure money is directed to those channels providing the best financial return
o Constantly push to improve profit dollars generated by each marketing channel
o Take the lead in driving weekly business reviews and performance for their business and link to Online business unit performance
o Review and monitor complete business operations to support the Online business unit's goal of achieving business objectives
o Develop a high performance team by selecting, training, coaching and developing effective leaders, staff and vendor relationships.
Education/Training
o BA/BS in Business, e-Commerce or Marketing or its equivalent experience, is required; MBA preferred.
Experience
o Search and/or online marketing experience a plus
o Experience driving marketing programs from concept to implementation
o Traditional and direct marketing experience
o General business experience with P&L ownership
o Experience managing multiple resources and teams
o Knowledge and experience within online businesses and operations
Role specific abilities/skills
o Strong analytical skills
o Search and/or online marketing experience a plus
o Superior relationship/teamwork building skills
o Excellent oral and written communications
o Opportunistic management style
