Description
The client is looking for a Big Data Solution Architect.
This resource must have at least 4-5 years of architecture background as it relates to BIG DATA/TERADATA. The client is also working with CLOUDERA. If the resource is certified in CLOUD that is a huge bonus. This position is very strategic and important at this time. The client is going to store all their history data and move it so that they can have a true archiving system. This is the most important position and resource for this project and will turn into future roles that the resource will be able to build their own team onsite. This role delivers strategic consulting services to assist clients in all aspects of establishing an effective Big Data program, including people (roles and organization), processes, and technologies. The strategic focus will require the Big Data Solution Architect to objectively consider a variety of Teradata and non-Teradata platform and software options that most appropriately meet customer requirements.
The Big Data Solution Architect will be the single point-of-contact on complex engagements to help consultants interpret and apply Teradata best practices.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Deliver consulting services with a high degree of client and account team satisfaction
Create and drive consistent processes and practices that support quality outcomes and continuous growth in revenue and profitability
Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills by critically evaluating and synthesizing information from various sources
Assist Sales teams to identify both new and existing accounts that could benefit from a special focus on broad-based assistance leveraging best practices and institutionalizing Big Data as a strategic tool.
Work with support teams to pro-actively capture reusable artifacts and other intellectual property
Support/drive selling opportunities
Play a leadership role on projects, supporting the technical leads and project manager
Actively pursue knowledge transfer across the industries in order to establish consistency and continuously improve capability
Meet or exceed individual goals while contributing to team goals
Stay abreast of industry trends and competition in the enterprise data and analytics industry
Key Skills:
Ability t o work with business and IT groups to understand client-specific needs, apply best practices, and develop practical strategies for the program, including people, processes, and technologies
Experience in enterprise data & analytic disciplines such as Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Data Warehousing, Big Data Analytics including Hadoop
Experience in Solution Development Life Cycles, especially as it applies to large-scale, complex data-centric programs and projects, from business strategies and requirements data design, data sourcing, data transformation, analytics design, development, testing, and implementation
Ability to understand and assimilate core Teradata intellectual property (e.g. Teradata Solutions Methodology, Maturity Assessments, Roadmapping) or similar experience
Ability to navigate diverse information, assets, and informal networks, such as the Teradata asset repository (or similar), SME network, and intranet resources while determining usability and applicability of artifacts and advice
Ability to provide client-specific advice while abstracting out commonalities across clients and projects to increase reusability and consistency
Ability to coordinate the activities of consultants with deep expertise in specific areas and advise on the use of intellectual property and best practices, often without having the same deep expertise in particular areas (e.g., advising a DBA on use of standard deliverables for that function)
Understanding of tools and technologies available within the enterprise data & analytics ecosystem, with the ability to understand functional purpose of tools and fit within a typical project
Understanding of governance, security and Audit practices for enterprise data programs
Qualifications
Basic Experience Requirements:
Eight years of IT experience (enterprise architecture, data warehousing, business intelligence, and advanced analytics )
Five years' experience in project leadership, including responsibilities for people, processes, and technologies
Five years of strategic consulting related to Big Data Architecture (ORACLE)
CLOUDERA experience (if they are certified in CLOUD that is a bonus)
Experience with Open Source Big Data technologies (knowledgeable with Java)
MUST be onsite for the initial 6-9 months due to the sensitivity and interaction with the client and vendors. After that time frame remote support will be considered and allowedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
