MAJOR FUNCTION
The NOC Report Analyst is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and execution of existing reports, in addition, the selected candidate will support report design, development, and data analysis functions performed within NOC Operations. This individual will also support NOC Leadership and in analyzing performance and key indicator metrics to assist in the identification of performance trends and the development of new performance metrics as needed by the management team to support continual service improvement within the organization. The selected candidate will play an active role in all aspects of NOC data management, reporting, and tools supporting the role.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, NOC Analysis & Development and is not responsible for direct reports.

Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Ensures the timely and accurate generation of all internal reporting, consistency and standardization amongst the various types of reports and databases.
Reviews reports to ensure basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report remain consistent with defined standards.
Collaborate with persons originating, handling, processing or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements.
Recommends establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information to support business changes.
May define and issue instructions to team concerning generation, completion and distribution of reports according to newly revised practices, procedures, or policies of reports management.
Makes suggestions for modifications or improvement to existing applications and reporting tools based on need to support NOC reporting functions.
Define and maintain standard report writing practices to ensure consistency of data between various reports.
Maintain continued self-education and developmental skills growth on reporting tools and methodologies.
Perform self-directed tasks within area of specialization that support continued organizational improvements.
Attend and participate in user groups as appropriate to support continued improvements.

Information given and received ranges from simple to complex, and requires the ability to understand and translate technical concepts.
### Required Skills
Associate degree in Computer Science, Business Administra tion, or related field preferred, or commensurate industry training and job experience is required.
Three (3) or more years experience in analytics, coding, building and formatting reports using multiple tools and/or application software packages.
Three (3) or more years experience in report analysis, writing, and development in an environment that uses multiple tables, possibly different databases, reporting tools and varied technologies or any equivalent combination of education and experience that satisfies the requirements of the job.
Three (3) or more years experience using Crystal Reports or similar Data Visualization, Analytics, Dashboard development, or Business Intelligence reporting tools.
Three (3) or more years experience in advanced SQL coding, including use of temporary tables, inline views, and aggregate/analytic functions using enterprise class relational database systems.
Prior experience using Oracle, Sybase IQ, and/or SQL Server databases and corresponding SQL commands is required.
Prior experience assisting in the design, development, documen tation, and implementation of multi-platform reporting applications.
Must have the ability to understand, decipher, and modify reports at the SQL level.
Must have the ability to understand table relationships and SQL commands including join, union, case, and aggregates.

Possess statistical, analytical, and research competencies with a keen attention to detail.
Possess knowledge and ability to assimilate, assess, validate, conceptualize, advise and recommend reporting related business solutions.
Strong ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms under pressure and in constricted timelines.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and user department personnel.
Ability to interface effectively with multiple users across the organization and effectively manage reporting requirements from start to finish.
Ability to manage own work flow and meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of multiple customers.
Basic knowledge of business concepts and terminologies; business process engineering, analysis, modeling; project management principles and adherence.
Strong ability to coordinate, plan, prioritize, conduct, manage, and organize multiple projects and priorities within deadlines.
Strong knowledge of relational data base concepts and an understanding or knowledge of ETL processes.
Advanced knowledge of SQL using Business Objects, Crystal Reports and other multiple query systems.
Intermediate knowledge of Adobe, SharePoint and MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, Access, etc.).
Intermediate Excel knowledge including pivot tables, formula usage, forms, and advanced charting.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, support decisions, and provide superior results independently as a self starter with minimal guidance and supervision.
Ability to acquire new skills and improve on existing skills relating to the utilization of contemporary reporting and business process tools.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
