Study and review client applications and provide needed international trade related research to assist attorneys in preparation of letter of credit, letter of indemnity, bill of lading, certificate of inspection and export license applications.
Interact with customs to ensure regulatory conformity in export documentation and serve on corporate import and export compliance teams.
Research needed conformation code and regulations to assist attorneys in preparation of international shipping agreements, international sales agreements, shipbuilding contracts, ground transportation agreements, import turnover agreements.
Research databases such as Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, and Tom's Reuters.
Support international trade research findings for attorneys in preparation and filing of pleadings with courts, the Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission on international trade matters, including export controls and sanctions, customs, anti dumping, international anti-corruption and foreign corrupt practices act and other regulatory matters.
Gather, sort, and support research finds on international trade regulations to ensure client's consistent compliance with laws.
Bachelor's degree required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
