JOB DEFINITION:
Moderate assessment and manipulation of customer files, format graphic elements and typescript using industry standard Macintosh computer software to produce press ready material that supports customers, sales, customer service, assets, and to ensure standard operating procedures and drive LEAN initiatives, including proofing, plate making, and mounting of offset jobs
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Proficient with current core Adobe applications (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator)
Basic graphic job construction using Adobe software
Basic layout, ganging, color break, manual trapping, layers, spot colors
Understands/executes the Gateway/Customer/WalMart/RR Donnelley print quality protocols
Interacts with QC, CI, Sales/customers/CSR to support various procedures/projects
Continuous improvement
MAJOR PROCESSES:
Maintains immaculate work areas prepared to meet AIB standards, customer quality audits and visitors
Making and checking of proofs including Kodak Approval proofs, and digital Epson color match proofs
Plating flexo plates and maintaining the flexo plate line
Plating offset plates and maintaining the offset plate line
Mounting of offset jobs and confirming mount integrity
MINOR PROCESSES:
Preventive and scheduled maintenance of prepress equipment and calibration of that equipment
BASIC SKILLS:
? Proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
? Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all levels of organization
? Good organizational skills
? Ability to multi-task
? Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
