Job # 14-0019 - Systems Administrator - IT Infrastructure
Position Information
This position will support the electronic mail systems, control room SCADA systems, and mobile device
management systems.
The position is also responsible for the installation, backup and administration of network servers
including application, infrastructure, web, database, storage servers, etc. This position is responsible
for system-related security, including file system, account management, etc. The position requires
strong analysis skills and involves close collaboration with other team members and departments.
This position requires business travel in a company provided vehicle typically under 5% but possibly up
to 25% of the time with an occasional overnight stay away from home. This position will provide some
after-hour support, will require the use of a company issued cell-phone, and may be part of an on-call
rotation.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Prevention
? Support the electronic mail, control room SCADA and mobile device management systems? Perform installation and maintenance of infrastructure server hardware and software? Monitor servers and tune performance? Detect and respond to server outages? Configures and monitors server and network security? Perform server backup and recovery? Test updates to existing technology; suggest new technologies? Suggest computing and networking standards for the company
Customer Service
? Develop relationships with customers and vendors? Participate on infrastructure related projects and teams? Project a professional image to internal/external customers and clients
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum
? Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field? Experience with Windows and Linux Server administration
Preferred
? Knowledge of electronic mail systems, control room SCADA systems, and mobile device
management systems
? Experience with VMware, SharePoint and Internet Information Services? Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server? Understands business processes, operating systems, and system architecture
Traits
? Well organized with a high degree of initiative and motivation? Detail and procedure oriented? Strong customer service, communications and problem solving skills? Ability to understand and adapt to change quickly? Team and action oriented? Creative and customer focused? Ability to work independently or in a team situation?
