Inovalon, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst position supports the product development goals and priorities to define product requirements, build out new/improved product features/functions, and continuously improve product marketability for growth and expansion. The Business Analyst supports the product innovation, technology, and operations teams. The ideal incumbent will be able to set priorities, multi-task and be self-motivated.
Gather and document business requirements, from multiple sources (both internal and external), for new products and enhancements;
Hands-on management of product development projects, to include assessment of scope, resource requirements, and scheduling;
Develop functional specifications, and recommendations related to proposed products and services, end-user/support guides, training materials, and marketing collaterals and test plans and support their implementations, and ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner;
Create detailed storyboards, wireframes and other prototypes for a clear and comprehensive depiction of the product offering;
Lead the on-going definition / creation of product marketing requirements and use cases, detailing product capabilities and functionality;
Conduct market research, including reporting and analytics with the ability to identify trends and opportunities as inputs to the product design process;
Support project planning activities and enforcement of project deadlines and schedules;
Coordinate with team leads to manage development, QA and UAT activities across products and work with cross-functional team to negotiate technical dependencies and craft timelines and plans for integrated product releases; and
Serve as a point of contact for communicating requirements and business process changes to IT / software development teams.
Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering, MS, MHSA or MBA preferred; with at least four years of experience in product development and /or health care system development;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong process flow designing skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include effective listening skills and excellent attention to detail, accuracy and follow up;
Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
Positive, flexible and self-motivated attitude, along with the ability to work as a team player;
Ability to quickly learn Inovalon customer contracts, products, systems and operations; and
Proficient in MS Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
