D&B offers exciting career opportunities and we are currently hiring a Director: Predictive Analytics for our Short Hills, NJ location.
The job holder will be part of the International Predictive Analytics Team that is responsible for the development/rebuild of all D&B standard and bespoke commercial scores in all regions, except Mexico and North America. The main focus will be developing scores in the D&B Owned Markets, but the team has also responsibilities influencing D&B Partner Markets, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience globally. The job holder will be expected to work closely with internal/external customers, sales & marketing, and product teams to ensure that our analytical solutions and commercial products meet customer needs, and bring sustained revenue to our organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop predictive analytics solutions / models in both risk and marketing areas for utilization by D&B in targeting new commercial clients, and managing existing ones
Develop such solutions based upon D&Bs established best practices, methodologies and available tools. Challenge the status-quo to enhance further analytical methodologies
Work independently or as a team member on complex projects from beginning to end understanding business needs, acquisition and evaluation of data, selection of appropriate statistical methodologies, model estimation and documentation
Analyze and interpret large amounts of global commercial data, and articulate business insight in a clear and consistent manner. Communicate complex analytical results in terms that they are meaningful to business leaders
Collaborate with internal/external customers to ensure proper utilization of analytical solutions. Engage in brainstorming sessions with customers on the development of value added solutions and products
As background, this candidate should also possess:
Graduate degree in a quantitative/applied field with good academic credentials. MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, Engineering or Economics will be preferred
Minimum eight years of experience in predictive modeling, developing local/global analytical solutions to internal/external clients
Hands-on experience using SAS (Base, Stat, Enterprise Miner), SQL and other statistical packages. Experience dealing with data sources from non-conventional Data Warehouses. Exposure to commercial data will be preferred
Ability to demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills. Strong project management, analysis, and problem solving skills are required
Proven track record of managing large complex projects from beginning until end. Proven track record of building new and innovative analytical solutions
Experience of working in an international organization is highly desirable
REPORTING LINE RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not carry any direct line management responsibility, but the job holder is expected to coach junior members of the team, and to share knowledge and best industry practice with others from the Global Predictive Analytics Team
The job holder will report into the Leader of International Predictive Analytics Team
