The Georgia-Pacific is the leading manufacturer of pine plywood and high-quality Oriented Strand Board. Out facility in Alcolu, SC manufactures OSB used for structural panels, roofing, flooring and a variety of construction purposes.
The individual in this position will create value by performing preventative maintenance on all mobile equipment such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems which will assist in the overall upkeep and advancement of the production process.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Conducting periodic maintenance on all rolling stock in accordance with the scheduled maintenance requirements.
Record keeping of work performed through use of the work order system and other log books as needed.
Coordinating procurement of parts to conduct repairs.
Assist in maintaining proper inventory of stocked parts.
Responsible for lubrication maintenance of mobile equipment (self and others).
Perform needed engine, transmission, and hydraulic system repairs on front end loaders, forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, extended boom lifts, cranes and other small engine equipment.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be capable of making decisions.
Basic
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2 years' experience in general maintenance of mobile equipment
Preferred
Qualifications:
Possess at least 5 years of experience in maintenance of large mobile equipment; to include front end loaders, man lifts, skid steers, extended boom lifts, forklifts, cranes and small engines.
Possess at least 1 year experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel, gasoline, and propane engines, including fuel injection systems, turbos, etc.
Possess at least 1 year experience troubleshooting and repairing transmissions and drive trains.
Possess at leat 1 year experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
Possess at least of 1 year experience performing basic diagnostics and repairs to electrical systems.
Possess at least 1 year experience performing minor welding repairs.
