## Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Associate Degree in engineering, architecture, or science or equivalent education or specific training in area of expertise, as approved by the pertinent Discipline Chief.
Minimum of 6 years of years of experience, including 1 year experience in Issue Management (IM) elements: Issue Identification, Analysis and Prioritization; Corrective Action Development & Implementation; Cause Analysis, Trending Analysis, and/or Lessons Learned.
Experience with Issues Management (IM) software
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DOE L or Q clearance and access to Commercial Nuclear Facilities.
Candidate must be able to travel on business if needed.
Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
BS Degree Preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Issue Identification, Analysis and Prioritization; Corrective Action Development & Implementation; Cause Analysis, Trending Analysis, and/or Lessons Learned.
DOE or commercial nuclear industry experience
Nuclear facility operations experience

URS PS LLC is seeking an Issues Management Specialist to be based in the Aiken, SC SMS office, but willing to travel to URS locations for either short term or extended assignments.

Typical Responsibilities include:
Keeps Management advised as to status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems.
Develops and maintains a close working relationship with the Supervising Discipline Engineer/Architect/Scientist, Project Engineering/Architectural/Scientific Manager, Manager of Specialty Group and pertinent Chief Engineer/Architect/Scientist on unusual or specialized problems in his/her area of expertise.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to assigned engineers, architects, scientists, specialists, designers and technicians.
Assists in the training and evaluation of assigned technical personnel.
Continually upgrades his/her technical knowledge and capabilities.
Assures quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned tasks.
Plans and schedules discipline efforts associated with assignment(s).
Assures the timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports on assigned discipline activities.
Maintains proper engineering, architectural, or scientific files and records.
Obtain, process and analyze IM requests
Interface with facility personnel to understand and properly characterize issues
Evaluate issues and assign cause codes
Review and properly categorize and prioritize issues
Support development of corrective action plans (CAPs)
Conduct causes analysis (e.g., common cause, apparent cause, root cause)
Conduct trend analysis within specific functional categorizes and across multiple categories
Prepare reports (cause analysis reports, trend analysis reports, CAP reports, etc.)
Support effectiveness reviews
Support the coordination and conduct of management review meetings
Performs a variety of other discipline related work, as required.
