Performs professional-level academic instruction, primarily in the areas of Reading and Writing. Also responsible for instructing applied academics. Models, mentors and monitors Career Success Skills and supports career development project-based learning. Ensures Literacy OMS goal for center is met or exceeded.
Minimum of two years'' experience. Computer literacy/skills. Ability to work flexible hours. Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, groups of managers, students, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts---such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions---to practical solutions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw related conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram terms, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Bachelor''s degree preferred; Possession of, or eligibility for, certification, license, or accreditation in the state in which the center is located. Driver''s license and CPR/First Aid certification. This is a part-time position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
