Job Description

Summary: Ensures projects are delivered on schedule and at budget by performing basic project management function; researching basic business and technical issues. Works with little or no supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Manage the project in close coordination with Shop Manager and Supervisor to insure on time and within budget.
Monitoring the project progress and budget during design, fabrication, and repackaging.
Creates the Capital Project Requisition (CPR) form which is the estimate to complete the make ready / repackage project. Also creates addendums to original CPR's if necessary and on a timely basis.
Acts as a single point of contact for customer during make ready process.
Ensure that project team and customers adhere to project schedule.
Document and handle project scope changes, communicate revised project schedule and issues change orders for customer approval.
Conduct internal and customer kick off meetings, participates on cross-functional teams, internal and external to Engineering; addresses inter-departmental issues; establishing and communicating project schedules, objectives, priorities, and targets.
Coordinates with design and engineering team in Houston to assure the design of the make ready/repackage meets the customer requirements and the make ready packaging standards. Coordinates technical interpretation as required.
Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications; ensuring the documentation of project activities and deliverables.
Keeps upper management informed on project status by reporting on project status such as: identifying risks, tests, costs, issues, and performance to established targets on a regular basis.
Drafts a P&ID; (process and instrumentation diagram) to the fleet engineering team to incorporate into the final engineering package.
Drafts a plan view showing customer connections, elevations, and foot print for each project.
May work with 3rd party inspection when required by the customer.
Interface and coordinate with outside vendors for outsourced requirements.
Make business case presentations to management when required.
Researches business and technical issues to establish what is being done and where improvements are possible
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
Conducts regular customer visits and provides feedback to management and understanding customer's requests.
PO tracking (OSP PO) for project closeout.
Project closure reporting to insure all W/O''s are closed in a timely manner.
Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley process requirements
Required Education/
Experience:
Bachelor''s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university
Minimum 8 years project management experience and/or training in the oil and gas industry
