Machinist II (2nd shift)

The primarily responsibility of this position is production machining of small lot jobs. In this role the machinist will setup and run close tolerance jobs per established procedures. The Machinist II works from job routings and established work instructions. Uses blueprints to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Is familiar with standard machining concepts, practices, and procedures. Sets up machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning and securing work, utilizing and adapting existing tooling and other machining aids. Determines operations to be performed, dimensions, tolerances, cutting tools to be used to minimize required machining operations. Determines offsets and adjusts feeds, speeds, depths, stops and performs minor maintenance, as necessary.
