Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS), at Saint Thomas Health, in Nashville TN, is seeking to hire a Pharmacy Informaticist who will oversee the Pharmacy Technician and perform the work of a pharmacist. This position will maintain, manage and develop the pharmaceutical solutions supported by the Clinical Applications Department, of St Thomas, in Nashville, TN.

Effective written and communication skills, as well as competence in solving problems
Willingness to reside within a commutable distance of Nashville, TN
Willingness to carry a pager and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
Additional Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with supporting Pharmacy systems
Have a minimum of 2 years experience working with systems and/or databases
Some experience in maintaining networks, servers, applications, databases and workstations
Some knowledge of SQL, Crystal, MS Access
Experience using Cerner PharmNet
### RESPONSIBILITIES
This Pharmacy Informaticist will:
Assist in maintaining a working environment for all Pharmaceutical software applications and associated databases.
Analyze and make technical system configuration changes, queries and/or adjustments to provide needed data in a format useful to the end user.
Develop and maintain records of critical technical information and documentation, including but not limited to disaster recovery, HIPAA, and system maintenance.
Define and write new procedures to enhance individual workstation and overall system usability and performance, especially upon system upgrade and configuration changes.
Support all pharmacy applications will require a working knowledge of clinical workflow, terminology and possibly HL7 interface standards.
Meet with decision makers, system owners and end users to define Reporting requirements and goals.
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations or alternatives for improving processes.
Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing procedures.
Carry a Pager, and be accessible to provide coverage.
