Primary Responsibilities
Coordinates medical care of student-athletes
Supervises three assistant athletic trainers, five graduate assistants, and athletic training students in cooperation with the university athletic training program
Supervises the daily operation of the athletic training room
Acts as account custodian for the athletic training budget
Maintains equipment and facilities
Maintains accurate medical documentation on student-athletes
Coordinates pre-participation physical exams for student-athletes
Coordinates institutional and NCAA drug testing
Develops and implements procedures for third-party reimbursement
Acts as liaison between Athletics and the Department of Health, Human
Performance and Recreation/Athletic Training Program
Recruits and develops a comprehensive sports medicine team which includes medical professionals in the region
Required Qualifications
Master's degree
Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification
State of Missouri Athletic Trainer Registration or eligible to obtain
Athletic training experience at the NCAA Division I level
Athletic training experience covering football
Supervisory experience
Evidence of commitment to student-athletes
Knowledge of NCAA regulations related to athletic training/intercollegiate athletics
Ability to function professionally in highly-stressful situations
Ability to provide accurate information on an impromptu basis
Ability to work evening and weekend hours, and travel as requested
Excellent computer skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
