Job Description:
Responsible for mechanical design of electric machines for HEV/PHEV/BEV applications
Perform FEA stress analysis and design optimization
Wok with electrical design engineer to finalize electro-magnetic design
Work with CAD designers to develop prints for all mechanical parts
Work with transmission design team to package electric machines into transmissions.
Design electric machine test housing for dyno tests
Build, test and evaluate electric machine prototypes
Minimum Requirements:
B.S.in Mechanical Engineering or BSME degree. (MSME preferred).
3
years of Powertrain D&R (Design & Release) experience with strong mechanical design background
Good working knowledge of CAD/CAE tools, i.e. Catia, Abaqus, Hypermesh or Ansys
Good working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up and statistics.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
