Gulf Stream Search is an executive search firm that works with companies that sell into the food and nutraceutical manufacturing industries.
We're working with a top client to help them identify a Regional Sales Manager who'll be responsible for account development and new business generation for food safety solutions into food manufacturers, agricultural concerns, and dairy facilities.
This is a home-office position with overnight travel, typically between 50-75%.
This is a salary
commission / bonus position and individual contributor role.
This is a business development role - you'll be responsible for creating new business opportunities with companies our client has not worked with previously, as well as managing and up-selling existing accounts with other / additional food safety solutions.
Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Management or other applicable degree
The ideal candidate has 2-5
years selling into any / all of the following segments:
Agricultural entities
Food manufacturers
Beverage manufacturers
Infant formula manufacturing
Nutritional supplement manufacturing
Dairy farms
Further processors
Grain storage facilities
Ideal points of contact within these companies would be Research & Development, Sourcing, Quality Control / Quality Assurance, Plant Manager, Product Development, etc.
Acceptable solutions sold into these segments:
Ingredients
Flavor systems
Raw materials
Sanitation solutions
Food safety solutions
Testing services
A track record of achieving and surpassing sales quotas
A track record of selling a product/service that is more expensive than competition and/or a customizable solution.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
