Title Regional Operations Director, Home Office
Position Overview Provide multi site leadership, from Pennsylvania to Maine, with 100%25%20environmental compliance. This position insures a safe work environment, compliance with all governing regulations and optimum performance of the equipment and the people.
The ideal location for the successful candidate should live in the territory. This is a 50%25%20travel position. Will consider other candidates that need relocation within Region.
Responsibilities o Ensure sites are operated safely and establish preventative practices to continue to improve the safety performance of the site.
oEnsure sites are in full regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and permits.
oDevelop and oversee process improvements for efficiencies, utility consumption, safety and environmental compliance.
oDetermine operations headcount needs and ensure compliance with company policies.
oCommunication and implementation of new initiatives within areas of responsibility.
oIdentify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital and improvement projects.
oDevelop and implement site strategies that are aligned with company and business strategies.
oDevelop and assist with division site objectives, margin enhancement and goals.
oReview and approve capital projects.
oMaintain, develop and improve customer relations.
oManage merchant facility inbound capacity (where applicable).
oOversee and review the operational and financial performance of multiple sites. Make recommendations and implement solutions as needed.
oVisit sites regularly and maintain an up to date knowledge of site(s) operating status.
Direct reports may include:
Operations Manager
Plant Manager
Transportation Manager
Fleet Maintenance Manager
Customer Retention Manager
Customer Service Manager
Environmental & Safety Compliance Engineer
Requirements oBachelor s degree in chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering, agricultural, or related degree.
o 8-10 years management experience. Regional multi State/multi site experience required.
oManagement in large industrial environment required, environmental services ideal.
o Strong P & L experience.
oComputer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
Strong Business Manager
Experience in both Operations and a little Sales Management ideal.
