Boomtown Casino - Biloxi is currently looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join the team.
Work Schedule: Day Shift
Average Hours per Week: 35 - 40
Pay Rate: $10.00 hr.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for the daily maintenance of the computerized inventory control system (MMS) for Receiving / Warehouse
Stock controls inventory items in MMS for all departments
Maintains par levels with Purchasing and Executive Chef
Ensures that inventory requisitions are issued out in a timely manner
Reconciles inventory requisitions and processes final updates on outgoing requisitions
Places orders through MMS to replenish inventory stock on a daily basis
Performs physical inventories, keys counts into MMS to produce a variance report; resolves any discrepancies that may appear; provides final reports to Accounting
Coordinates and resolves any issues regarding receivers with Accounts Payable or with other departments, and reports to management when appropriate
Reconciles spoiled inventory stock
Prepares and ships packages as required
Performs the duties of Receiving Clerk as needed
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be at least 21 years of age
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Requires a minimum of one year inventory control experience with perishable food products in a temperature controlled environment
Requires working knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems; knowledge of Straten Warren preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
Must be able to read and write in English
Requires the ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with all departments
Demonstrated analytical abilities required
Must possess the skills necessary to accurately count and pull stock according to requisition, and inspect for stated quality standards
Requires a clean driving record and a valid MS Driver''s License
Must be able to operate a hand truck and pallet truck
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 100 lbs., reach a span of 7 ft., walk continuously throughout shift, and have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
