Coding Specialist

Responsible for the application of diagnostic and procedural codes to information contained in the medical record to reflect the condition of the patient and treatment interventions. Must have a minimum of two years of coding experience in a medical records department and a thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, as well as current coding guidelines. RHIA, RHIT, CCS eligible with a minimum of an Associate's Degree preferred. Must also have knowledge of DRG, APG, APC systems. Hours are flexible.
