The River Valley Newspaper Group is looking for an aggressive sales professional who understands the complexities of the digital world and how to leverage that knowledge to help local businesses drive sales.
You would be responsible for strategically prospecting for new business opportunities while maintaining and growing an existing list of accounts. This position requires disciplined sales and customer focus along with the aptitude to thrive in a constantly evolving industry. If you are a confident, resourceful, results-driven individual capable of functioning individually as well as within a team environment, this position could be for you.
We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the local area by utilizing the largest local audience in print as well as some of the most advanced digital advertising products in the area. You will generate revenue from various print products to online products such as SEM, SEO, social media and mobile; all designed to help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
## Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related area preferred
1-2 years of successful sales experience or equivalent education and experience
Good communication skills
Must possess an understanding of retail business for effective sales presentations
Ability to effectively present information
Ability to work well with and through people
Ability to sell--getting people interested and then closing the sale
Ability to make cold calls to generate new business
General knowledge of newspaper operations is a plus
Valid driver''s license, proof of insurance and dependable automobile is required
