Job Description
This position assists in providing direction of the assigned and prescribed safety programs at the Laramie River Station (LRS). These programs promote employee well-being by providing a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with Basin Electric Power Cooperative''s (BEPC) safety policies and procedures. In addition this position provides technical assistance to the LRS Safety and Training Coordinator and plans, organizes and directs the safety training of all LRS plant personnel as prescribed for the safe and efficient operation of LRS.
Required Skills
This position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching/lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds; and occasional sitting, crawling, using keyboard/computer, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Finger dexterity, ability to perform close work, good hearing and vision are required. Good reading, writing and math skills; and the ability to analyze data and reports, conduct research, and implement recommendations are required. Must be able to provide assistance with work direction; present information, evaluate the performance of others, and work under pressure in stressful conditions. Equipment used includes video equipment such as televisions, DVD players, digital cameras, camcorders, and computers. Occasionally works in noisy conditions, around dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat, cold vibration, and poor ventilation. This position must be respirator qualified. Working conditions also include electrical risks and working in confined areas and at heights up to 300 feet to inspect work. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. This position requires traveling by motor vehicle or plane.
Required Experience
This position requires a four year degree in safety management, communications, education or related field; or four years related experience in a coal-based plant or similar industrial setting. In the first two years in this position, the incumbent will need to secure and maintain a current Industrial Hygiene Management Certificate (or equivalent, such as Industrial Hygiene Safety and Health Specialist Certificate, or Industrial Hygiene Certificate for example), Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist, AHERA Accredited Asbestos Building Inspector Course, Lead Inspector, American Heart Association BLS Instruction, OSHA 30-hour General Industry, respirator fit testing training and demonstrated experience, and air sampling training. The applicant must have working knowledge of local, state and federal safety and health laws; including OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and familiar with Workers Compensation requirements. Good written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and organizational skills, computer literacy, data management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Ofice is required. Must have a valid driver s license.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
