Training Specialist - Coeur DAlene Job

This position is 40 hours/week; a flexible schedule is required to meet the operational business needs of training. This will include day and evening classes and some possible weekend requirements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct new hire and refresher training which will include classroom and on the floor training.
Promote consistency by ensuring associates adhere to STEPS training material.
Report and monitor progress of employees during training periods.
Revise and/or recommend revisions to the training curriculum and improvements to the process.
Conduct training on system enhancements, term-changes, and new procedures as needed.
Assist with the development and delivery of communication tools needed for new procedures.
Assist with associate questions and handle escalated calls.
Present information in department and section meetings or smaller groups settings.
Recognize training or behavior issues and forward to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with mentoring associates and provide coaching and feedback
Identify areas of opportunity for associates and develop action plans for improvement.
Attend and learn other training departments programs to work towards becoming a cross-functional trainer for all areas of the business.
Ability to enhance and continually improve facilitation and leadership skills.
Stay abreast of new training initiatives, material and client information.
Other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills
Willingness to train in any area e.g. service, collections, account control, recovery.
Strong organizational and preparation skills.
Strong work ethic and true desire to provide an excellent on boarding and learning environment for all associates.
Creative thinker and problem solver.
Ability to influence others in a team or one on one.
Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions
Ability to effectively manage priorities in a multi-tasking environment
Positive, upbeat attitude.
Schedule flexibility and adaptability is critical to this role. Travel may be required to train at other site locations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
High school diploma or equivalent
