General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for Security Controls Assessor (SCA)to join our Information Assurance team. The position provides an opportunity to work directly with some of our nation''s fundamental defense services. Key
Responsibilities:
The Security Controls Assessor (SCA) interacts with GDAIS clients to recommend and provide information assurance solutions including supporting certification and accreditation activities. Counsel will be based on the employees understanding of the way various products and services interrelate. Team members also develop the verification procedures used in risk assessments and security tests and evaluations. The selected employee will develop various security documentations, including security, configuration management and contingency plans in compliance with Information Assurance policy. It is also the responsibility of the SCA to conduct risk assessments
.
Additional Responsibilities
You will play a key role on a team that protects our nation's most critical Information Systems. This involves:
Providing technical support to Information System programs and secure software development and integration tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards.
Reviewing current IA policy, doctrine and regulations and providing recommendations for consolidating or developing IA policy and procedures at the DoD/Intelligence Community/Civilian Government level.
Candidate should possess:
Current knowledge of IA products and IA-enabling products such as PKI, VPN, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
Strong base knowledge of System and Network Virtualization
Demonstrated familiarity with Intelligence Community Directive 503 ( ICD 503 ) requirements and implementation guidance.
Demonstrated familiarity with assessment and testing methodologies for Information Assurance related compliance validation activities.
Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of emerging technologies, and the ability to effectively manage and protect information systems in a cost-effect manner.
The Securirty Controls Assessor (SCA) position requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems / Computer Science or a related specialized area or field or the equivalent, and a minimum of five to eight years of related experience. Applicants with a Masters Degree and three to five years of related work experience also qualify.
Active Department of Defense Top Secret SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Candiate must possess a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in good standing.
Candidate should possess:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
