DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the Local Elections Official Liaison provides assistance to the Elections Division staff, uses independent judgment and initiative to perform daily activities of the office and responds to telephone and written inquiries from county elections supervisors and registrars.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Maintains a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing services or products to clients, the general public, and other external customers.
Accurately and legibly logs, posts, records, and/or documents necessary data/information, according to applicable policies, procedures and time frames.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively on assigned projects to provide quality seamless customer service.
Fields inquiries from county elections supervisors and registrars.
Provides professional and accurate technical information.
During an elections cycle, coordinates schedules to ensure extended availability before and after normal business hours, and remains on-call via cell phone to handle calls outside the extended hours.
Conducts research and analyzes and provides solutions for elections related issues.
Maintains professional technical knowledge of election codes.
Stays abreast of all Federal and State legislation that pertains to the American Disabilities Act (ADA), Help America Vote Act (HAVA), National Voting Rights Act (NVRA), and Uniformed and Overseas Citizen Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor-s degree or an Associates degree and two years of related experience or four (4) years of continuous related experience in the area(s) of assignment. Sound understanding of the Election codes and processes. Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are required. Intermediate skill level in MS Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence structure, punctuation and grammar is essential. Advanced organizational skills, knowledge of research processes; must be able to prioritize and handle a multiple of projects and/or tasks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
