The Supplier Quality Manager will ensure compliance to all Navistar Integrated Quality Requirements.
Reduce total PPM (parts per million) defects to a goal of Zero Defects.
Development and implementation of APQP techniques including: FMEA, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams and other automotive principles.
Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to supplier quality team drive continual improvement in the supply base.
Management and Leadership of Quality Group: Responsible for hiring, training, developing and supervising the supplier quality team.
Selects and monitors vendors/suppliers to ensure that parts received meet requirements
in a cost-effective manner. Establishes systems and procedures to ensure and enhance overall quality. Conducts supplier facility surveys of potential critical components providers. Establishes requirements for suppliers to achieve process and quality standards for GMPs. Facilitates development of team/partner relationships with vendors/suppliers and maintains relationships for long-term contracts for delivery of high quality parts. Selects, develops,
and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of supplier quality experience
At least 4 years of management experience
OR
At least 12 years of supplier quality experience
At least 4 years of management experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Ability to travel up to 25-30%
Led quality team and system in ISO 9000.S 16949 environment.
Experience in APQP, FMEA, Control Plans and other automotive practices
Quality system knowledge QS / ISO / TS 16949.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
Minimum 10 years of manufacturing/quality experience preferred
Strong Communication (Verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Process Improvement Methodology
Strong Leadership and Management capabilities
Knowledge and experience in implementation of Statistical Process Control method
CQM (Certified Quality Manager) status through ASQ (American Society for Quality)
CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) status through ASQ (American Society for Quality
Strong Problem solving Skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office
