Accessibility Specialist for Instructional Web Content

This position will analyze, design user interfaces, develop, program, and document interactive Web-based learning software customized for online courses at MSU; oversee content and course auditing program to document compliance with policy; maintain production schedules for content conversion; convert digital materials, including HTML and multimedia formats to new formats and medium to achieve accessibility; work with faculty and other University clients, as well as team members; consult with, train, and assist users. Duties associated with this position involve viewing a video display terminal screen 70-90% of the time.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, digital media arts, or related fields; one to three years of progressively more extensive work experience developing in standards-based Web code language (XHTML, HTML, CSS, Javascript, EPub, and/or Flash); experience with commonly used video containers, codecs, and compression tools; experience with developing assistive technologies like screen readers; experience with developing interactive Web pages with elegant, usable user interface; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Flash ActionScript 2.0 & 3.0; experience producing accessible documents using Word, PDF, and other common document formats; project Management and work-estimation skills; ability to organize large projects into modular parts for team members, and plan for reuse and extension; expertise with graphics, computer graphics and design software; familiarity with recent Web standards including XHTML, CSS 3, HTML 5, WCAG 2.0, WAI-ARIA; experience with team use of version control and software configuration management systems; experience with video captioning processes, including use of outsourced services; application of 2D and 3D bitmap and vector objects to animation and manipulation of sprites and vectors on code-driven stages; familiarity with content repositories or content management systems; ability to communicate directly with clients regarding requirements and expectations; willingness to adopt and maintain existing content and code-base, remediating as needed; demonstrated drive to learn as necessary to acquire new code-language and technology fluency.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
