Boomtown Casino - Biloxi is currently looking for a Kitchen Steward (Buffet) to join the team.
Work Schedule: Primarily Swing Shift (Hours will vary)
Average Hours per Week: 24 - 28
Pay Rate: $ 9.50
Your daily responsibilities include:
Maintains work areas (kitchens, cooking preparation, etc.), equipment (cook stoves, grills, stove hoods, deep fryers, etc.), and utensils in a clean and sanitary manner and in accordance with OSHA, Health Department, and F&B; standards
Understands all equipment and its uses (set up, breakdown, and operational specifications)
Ensures that all sanitation procedures are followed
Keeps all dishes, and pots and pans clean; stores such in designated areas
Maintains sanitary kitchen conditions by steam cleaning mats and other walking surfaces, washing walls, ceilings, and wood work
Ensures the proper stacking of glassware in proper glass racks and proper stacking of plate ware
Sanitizes floors, walls, coolers, and kitchen equipment
Removes trash, empties trash in dumpsters, and breaks down boxes
Cleans and hoses down back delivery dock
Assists Chefs with the set-up of banquet functions and equipment when applicable
Communicates with management regarding concerns in the kitchen

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months previous kitchen work experience preferred
Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions
Must be able to correctly log time and attendance records
Requires the manual dexterity to safely use electrical equipment, sharp utensils, and lift bulky objects
Must be able to tolerate loud noise and heat
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push and maneuver large loads up to 100 lbs, and carry and lift up to 80 lbs., and the ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
