THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Primary focus is to fully implement Quality Systems of a Tier 1 Automotive supplier by organizing and mapping processes. Responsibilities include internal manufacturing control, quality system leadership, supplier and sub-supplier management and product testing.The qualified individual should be a quality Activist with a high amount of energy and up to the task of taking on a significant challenge and carrying a high amount of responsibility.Must be both technically and customer service oriented.Major
Responsibilities:
Build and lead a quality organization to reach World Class performance metrics
Lead problem solving approach across organization and identification of appropriate toolset (Six Sigma, Shanin, 8D, etc.)
Hold Supplier / Sub-suppliers accountable for deliverables and champion supplier improvement activities
Solid understanding and practical implementation approach to Quality Systems such as TS16949, QS9000, ISO 9001:2000
Disciplined approach and utilization of quality systems tools and practical implementation of such across organization
Achieve continuous improvement in product and business quality
Manage all key customer relationships
Lead, educate (train), promote and provide key role model principles
Lead implementation and effective use of quality planning (APQP) within the Product Development Process
Direct all metrology, inspection activities, and required products testing requirements

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
Minimum of 10 years' experience leading quality and continuous improvement activities in the Automotive Manufacturing industry
Proven ability to lead and exceed customer expectations in a Tier 1 Automotive supplier environment
Hands On technical knowledge of metrology methods and product testing
Understanding of the purpose and effective utilization of quality tools such as: Process Control, Process Mapping, DMAIC/PDCA, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Lean Principles
Proven ability as a leader and change agent to drive process improvements and lead quality system improvements
Bachelors degree in an engineering field (Masters Degree a plus)
Strong ability to communicate at multiple levels within the company through verbal, written and electronic means
Familiar with CNC, Die Casting, Plastic Mold injection preferred
Familiar with Filter Assembly - a major plus
Must be a system architect able to lay down the foundation for the program
Some travel - including international requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
