This position is located in the Information Technology Department of the Priority Material Office, Bremerton, Washington. The incumbent will perform a full-range of application programming support to include web-base application design, creation, maintenance and updates; database administration, report compilation, data collection, analysis and conversion. You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. You may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
As an IT Specialist (APPSW), your duties of the position may include, but are not limited to:
Performing a full-range of application programming support duties to include: web-base design, creation, maintenance and updates, database administration, report compilation, data collection, analysis, or conversion.
Working with an SQL server database in support of web-based software applications.
Maintaining developed applications deployed locally or at customer locations.
Performing IT application programming projects with team members.
Performing advanced programming techniques or higher level computer languages to complete program development for assigned systems.

Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
GS-12: Have at leastone year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) in the Federal Service or Private Sector equivalent designing, writing, debugging, or implementing web-based application software using and C# in a source-controlled environment; performing work on web pages, services, or components utilizing one of the following programming languages: , C#, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, XML, XSL, HTML, or CSS in a source-controlled environment; and troubleshooting IT problems related to software application development.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Work is primarily sedentary, however, there is occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items, computer equipment, and other office items such as folders and reports.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
