Job Description:
The PeopleSoft Applications Manager is responsible for the delivery of systems support for the Campus Solutions PeopleSoft enterprise application. The position will lead a team of developers/analysts from across functional and technical units dedicated to the day-to-day support of the technical and functional development work stream. Activities will include analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enhancements, batch programs, interfaces, reports, data conversion. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems or related field. Five to seven years or more of progressively responsible experience in the area of specialization; OR the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling at least nine years. Two years supervisory experience overseeing information resources professionals.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree in CS, MIS, BIS or related field. 10
years of responsible experience in a Higher Education environment focused on Campus Solutions. 5 years of experience of supervisory experience overseeing Information Resources professionals.
Minimum
Responsibilities:
Lead a team(s) of information resources professionals in assigned function, directly engaged in the implementation & maintenance of University systems & the design, development & implementation of systems & interfaces; provide hands-on assistance in the implementation of systems and troubleshooting; ensure user needs are met by acting as a user liaison; may develop and/or modify software to enhance usability of the system; may develop, implement and utilize reporting systems, policies and procedures. Excellent project management, written and oral communications skills desired. Ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:
Directs day-to-day systems administration and support activities of technical team focused on the Campus Solutions; Production Support including testing, change control, utilization and support. Serves as a technical and functional resource to aid in the upgrade, analysis, and design configuration of the PeopleSoft/Oracle Campus Solutions modules; Develops and maintains a specialist understanding of Production Support, customizations and operational use; Transforms functional requirements into technical requirements and suggests industry best-practice solutions; Evaluates user requests for new or modified program to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems and computing capabilities; Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify objectives.
Studies existing installation to evaluate effectiveness and develop new approaches to improve production or specifications as required; Collaborates with EAS managers, IR staff and others to facilitate processes, projects, installations and formulation of operating policies and procedures; Chairs campus-wide Campus Solutions Users Group; Analyzes customizations to retrofit as needed to delivered product.; Evaluates new PeopleSoft/Oracle technologies and makes recommendations for future direction of the PeopleSoft/Oracle usage; Manages the day-to-day activities of employees including but not limited to: work schedules, performance evaluations, team building and goal setting; Performs other duties as assigned.
