As an Journeyman Automotive Service Technician one must perform the following:
Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned and as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Minimum 1 year experience employed as a journeyman technician. GM, Honda, Chrysler, etc. experience preferred.
College/vocational degree or certification in Automotive Repair. ASE or factory certification preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and multitasking ability.
A current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background screening including a criminal background check, a review of motor vehicle records, verification of social security number and passing a drug test at a certified testing facility.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
