The Service Manager oversees the service department and is typically responsible for:
Hiring and managing all service department employees, as well as monitoring their performance.
Creating goals and new objectives, promoting new and repeat business.
Keeping current on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures and acting as a liaison with factory representatives.
Maintaining the highest Customer Service Index(CSI) rating by handling customer complaints immediately and within dealership policies.
CSI driven, Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred.
7 to 10 years of progressive dealership experience.
Professional certification (ASE), technical/vocational or some college preferred.
Proven track record of strong leadership and customer service skills.
Previous experience maintaining department profitability while controlling expenses and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Strong communication skills.
Understanding of and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to OSHA regulations and hazardous waste disposal.
Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background screening including a criminal background check, a review of motor vehicle records, verification of social security number and passing a drug test at a certified testing facility.
