This position is responsible for supervising material logistics operations at the Crystal Annex with the primary role of distributing product to JVISs customers. The position is dually responsible for supervising limited assembly and dock audit operations at the Crystal Annex. Other responsibilities include working with internal and external customers to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
Work requires independent and team problem solving and decision making skills with general direction provided on operating objectives and broad guidance from corporate strategy and goals. Work is complex, difficult in character and requires strong PC and mainframe skills in addition to strong interpersonal skills. Work is fast-paced and requires strong supervisory skills and broad business knowledge in addition to materials management and technical logistics skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising shipping technicians and production associates assigned to MP&L to support safe forklift operations as well as internal and external logistics requirements.
Assures manpower and forklift requirements are appropriately assigned in the most cost efficient manner.
Analyzes new logistics proposals and makes recommendations regarding carrier selection and shipment frequencies to assure lowest total cost considering inventory carrying costs and transportation costs.
Plans and executes distribution of JVISs products to customers assuring customer delivery rating criteria is met.
Assures inventory record accuracy of material stored on trailers and interplant transactions are correct.
Advises production associates performing dock audits, sorting and light assembly operations on proper procedures, problem solving, and attaining manufacturing performance goals.
Serve as a customer and supplier interface in matters of delivery and logistics.
Collaborates with industrial engineering to assure optimum material flow and facility layout for inventory.
Perform maintenance and updates on SMART, FCSD DDL system as required by the customer.
React to various causes of supply chain and manufacturing interruptions and implement countermeasures to protect customer delivery requirements. Coordinate delivery deadlines with Production and Shipping personnel.
Maintain customer delivery rating performance data and compile and submit dispute data.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing actions to improve total cost, delivery, and inventory performance.
Research trade reference to stay abreast of new technology and methods to improve performance.
Responsible for compliance to the NAFTA.
Must provide documented evidence regarding standardized work being performed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the automotive industry is required. Minimum of 3 years experience is preferred.
Demonstrates creativity and ingenuity to work on moderate to long-term assignments that are broad in nature. Strong supervisory, project management, and leadership skills are necessary to prioritize, coordinate, and manage personnel and task conflicts.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the company in a professional manner when performing job duties. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
Ability to calculate and analyze data, generate reports, present information, etc.
Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new products and processes. Must be able to initiate implementation of continuous improvement processes.
Working knowledge of MS office software applications.
Must be able to work independently and achieve results under little or no supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described hereafter are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hand to finger dexterity, handle or feel and reach with arms. Frequently required to talk or hear, walk, stoop, and sit at computer workstation. Employee must be able to read color, adjust focus and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described hereafter are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee is normally working in a cubicle or in meeting rooms but frequently must be on the shop/warehouse floor exposed to heavy equipment, lift trucks, and other manufacturing equipment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
