Description:
Lancaster Foods is looking for a Food Safety Specialist to assist with the day to day operations in Quality Control and Quality Assurance. This position will spend the majority of their time on the production floor verifying quality checks, problem solving and auditing GMP compliance. Specific duties will include: sample collection for microbial testing, recording test results, maintaing documentation, selecting food samples for sensory evaluations and quality control and enforcing the food safety program, HACCP verification and GMP policy.
Duties:
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and coaching skills to work with the QA Manager to train, mentor and coach employees in Food Safety best practices. Must have the ability to enforce company and HACCP practices as well as 1-3 years of quality control experience within the food or beverage industry.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
