Southeast Asia Reporter / Analyst to cover the classified advertising industry

Position Type:
Part-time
Experience:
3 - 5
We're looking for reporter / analysts
The AIM Group is an international research and publishing boutique that focuses on interactive media and classified advertising. We need a new reporter / analyst in Southeast Asia to cover Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines to supplement our current team.
This is a part-time, contract position. Experience in journalism and / or reporting is essential. We need someone who's a reporter first, a writer second, an analyst third and a researcher fourth. Location does not matter, as long as you're in Southeast Asia --- and have a telephone line and a solid Internet connection.
You will work part-time at your own pace. We establish expectations of volume -- how many articles and briefs per month, for example -- and frequently assign articles and projects with specific deadlines.
We publish the trade newsletter Classified Intelligence Report along with AIMGroup.com and other material. We've got several clients in Southeast Asia and are seeking to grow both our coverage and market penetration.
Ideal candidates will have:
--- experience working in journalism, either print, broadcast or online, as reporters, editors, bloggers, etc.
--- an understanding of the business aspects of traditional and digital media
--- another part-time or full-time position, but have flexible availability to complete assignments from the AIM Group and Classified Intelligence Report as mutually agreed. (Or, you may be semi-retired or interested only in part-time work.)
--- a strong command of written and spoken English, and additional language(s) as appropriate to their markets
--- strong familiarity with digital media, including trends and structures
In addition to reportage for AIMGroup.com / Classified Intelligence Report, we often use our writer / analysts to contribute to consulting projects that we have taken on for clients. Sometimes this research is published; sometimes it is proprietary.
For more information, see our websites. To apply, e-mail Peter M. Zollman of the AIM Group, peterz@AIMgroup.com. In the body of your email, include a cover letter, a resume or CV, and links to material you have written that is available online. Do NOT attach material to your email. That may put it into our spam folders.
As your subject line, use AIM Group writer --- Southeast Asia.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
