Job Description

The Security Support Specialist will:
Provide our Navy customer with their Precommissioning Security Spreadsheet consisting of service member rate, rank, and security level required and current security level status.
Track milestones and tasks associated with the Security program and associated letters and documentation.
Screen crewmember service records for security eligibility and suitability for billet assignment in accordance with Department of the Navy policies and mandates.
Prescreen and processes security investigation information and coordinate subsequent interviews.
Facilitate the Physical Security Program for each Precom Command, including preparation of all MOUs of COMTAC Equipment for processing of Message Traffic.
Coordinates custody of all safes and coordinate security badges for building access, shipyard access and classified spaces on ship.
Required Skills
Candidate will be knowledgeable in Navy security clearance programs and procedures. This position requires a person that is mature, discrete and professional and inspires confidence in the Navy Crewmembers as well as Precom Stakeholders. Attention to detail, organization and strong admin skills are necessary. Candidate must be proficient in MS Office Programs, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will be prior Navy rate of CT, IS, OS or FC.
