Our client located in New Hyde Park is seeking an Infrastructure Support Analyst for either a contract-to-hire or direct-hire opportunity.
Must be willing to travel between 2 different locations, New Hyde Park, NY and NYC.


Key Purpose of Job

To be a point of reference for the global VMware, Windows 2008 and Exchange 2010 landscape.
Identify technical solutions for problems, improvements and developments.
To support and enhance the server, desktop and network estate to ensure maximum practical availability and efficiency.
To ensure that departmental standards are adhered to when supporting the infrastructure.
To help deliver support related tasks within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

Provide technical infrastructure support for the end user community.
Evaluation, handling and resolution of Infrastructure technical issues, in such a way that the problems are always registered and carried out to internal SLA's, actions and solutions are communicated via available tools.
Control and secure access to the Infrastructure in line with Infrastructure policies and procedures.
Monitor physical infrastructure (HW & OS).
Ensuring a high quality infrastructure system through coordinated, robust and global testing, and documentation.
Work in a 'best endeavours' manner to ensure that Project and Support commitments made to business users remain within agreed timescales.
Flexible in terms of working location.
Work in accordance with the priorities and timescales defined in the Group IT OGSM and Project plans.
Play an active role in the delivery of infrastructure projects on a global scale.
Ensure all implementations are delivered to Infrastructure standards.

Needs to have

Expert in Windows 2008 Server and Windows 7
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2010, experience of a Hybrid model or Office 365 would be a significant advantage.
Excellent understanding of VMWare ESX and vSphere
Experience of HP Chassis / Blade based server technology
General understanding of Microsoft SharePoint would be an advantage but not essential
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external teams and clients
Ability to recognise and communicate global implications of changes
Have a sound understanding of customer service
Needs to hold a clean driving licence
Needs to be comfortable to travel/fly to international sites if required

Works directly for the Infrastructure Support Manager and liaises regularly with Managers
Works closely with the Infrastructure Support, Service Desk and Security Teams to maintain the agreed quality and standard of service delivered to the business
Works extensively with business customers
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
