Assistant Special Events Manager.

Job Purpose:
Manage the daily operations of Special Events including staff and vendor supervision, guest service, events, and related activities. Serve as liaison to all departments involved in the Special Event or Leisure Experience. Serve as leader and trainer of Special Events STARS.
Job
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in managing all aspects of the resort's Special Events or Leisure Experience activities such as ICE!, Christmas on the Potomac, and SummerFest.
2. Oversee the daily activities and performance of the Special Events staff to ensure standards and goals are met.
3. Assist with the selection, on-boarding, training, performance management, and development of Special Events STARS.
4. Prepare, implement, and supervise schedules for Special Events STARS.
5. Give prompt and individual attention to guests to ensure high satisfaction levels including with problem identification and resolution.
6. Oversee the daily activities and performance of the Special Events vendors to ensure standards and goals are met.
7. Ensure merchandising and promotional displays and materials are in place and correct.
8. Liaison with other departments to ensure standards and goals are met.
9. Oversee and administer inventory and oversee and operate software systems including for ticketing, retail, and inventory. Notify supervisor of shrinkage or loss issues immediately.
10. Perform other duties as required.
Job
Qualifications:
Education: High school degree or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years guest service experience required. Minimum of two years supervisory experience required. Event or hospitality experience preferred. Must have excellent guest service skills. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have working knowledge of register systems and general computer applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
