Ashland is seeking an Operations Technician.
This is a chemical operator position focusing on production of batch quantities of
specialty materials for the coatings and adhesives markets.
The Operations Technician will batch chemical operating tasks, raw material/product
movement, additions/weights, adjusting process control instrumentation, equipment
adjustments, sampling and testing of products, packaging of material, record
keeping and minor maintenance tasks.
This is a 12-hour shift rotating position. Must have the ability to respond to call-outs,
& flexibility to work overtime.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
5 Years previous chemical plant experience (batch or continuous operations) is desired
Position requires close attention to detail, use of process control computer and
personal computers with Windows/Office Programs, SAP, GPMate and other programs
Other experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered.
Military Experience is a plus.

Position can require climbing,lifting, inside/outside activities and use of a forklift
The job requires the wearing of long-sleeve Nomex uniforms, respirators (requiring
clean-shaven face at all times (while on-duty) and other Personal Protective procedures to follow
