PLANT ENGINEERING MANAGER

DUTIES:
Provide leadership and direction to Plant Maintenance and Engineering team.
Supervises Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance, Welding and Machining teams.
Design, improve, install equipment to champion improve and enhance the production processes.
Responsible for establishing of capital project budgets, monitoring to plan and meeting deadlines.
Support production, maintenance, and electrical engineering teams by sustaining, enhancing equipment as required.
Efforts will involve cost reduction, preventive maintenance programs, documentation and training, troubleshooting, equipment changeovers and upgrades, and project management.
Provide direction and leadership with respect to personnel development.
Provide leadership and direction to plant electrical and mechanical engineers.
Establish goals and objectives. Complete reviews per required schedules.
Manage capital projects and engineering staff including developing project timelines, spending control, resource management, training, documentation and resources with other departments and their requirements.
Develops, acquires, or follows operation of new or existing equipment.
Analyzes malfunctions, improves equipment reliability, and directs design & engineering personnel in making corrective changes.
Provide safe & effective machine designs and associated documentation.
Maintain & enhance Engineering records retention, procedures & processes.
MUSTS:
BS in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years experience manufacturing equipment engineering, installations and modifications. Union facility experience desired.
Specific experience with facility equipment compatibility from initial product design concepts to final product engineering.
Mechanical, electrical and reliability engineering skills.
Management experience with cross functional teams-engineering and production.
Design skills with AutoCAD software desired.
