Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.
The GBAM OPS ENGINEER will be a key member of the GBAM Core Network Operations team. This position will work with all internal Global Banks and Markets business units to establish service delivery excellence toward being a world class service organization. As a member of the GBAM Ops Engineering team, this individual will be part of a 24x7x365 support team. This position requires an individual that is innovative with a great deal of initiative. They are an expert in the IP networking field, and would be responsible for resolving complicated network issues escalated from Tiers 1 and 2 (the NOC). They also work with third parties, such as Cisco TAC, Juniper TAC, among others, in resolving network connectivity issues caused by hardware or other, or by network issues in a Network Services provider. This position also requires collaboration with the engineering and Tier 4 LOB teams to resolve issues that are specific to those LOB's or of a larger capacity. Your day to day responsibilities will include, support and operation of the GBAM Network infrastructure. Along with the Support of troubleshooting our network links to various carriers including proactive monitoring of key links and capacities. Leading or participating in customer support calls when escalated to Tier 3. Be part of an on-call support team for after hours support (we are a 24/7 operation)
Required Skills
oExtensive knowledge and experience with network routing protocols and concepts including: Virtualization, Grid Computing, 10 Gig Ethernet, TCP/IP, Network Address Translation (NAT), Domain Name Services (DNS), routing (OSPF and BGP), low latency environments, market Data delivery and Feed handlers and business continuity and recovery
oProven troubleshooting skills for quick resolution
oExtensive knowledge of Cisco and Arista switches and routers, Firewalls, Proxy, Cache, DNS, Load Balancers and IP accelerators
oProven ability to interpret output from network traffic analysis tools such as Sniffer, Etherpeek, and TCP dump.
oPractical knowledge of various local and wide area network infrastructures including: MPLS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, Netscout, Acme Packet, etc.
oEffective interpersonal and consulting skills to be used to align client needs tactical and strategic solutions.
oAbility to effectively collaborate in a dynamic team environment
oMust have very strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
Desired Skills
oBachelor's Degree in related field and 9 years of related experience
oMinimum of 7 years specific experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco networking in financial environments
oCisco/Arista Certifications Preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
