CAD DESIGNER POSITION
Frey Lutz Corp, located in Lancaster, has been Central PA's leading mechanical contractor for the past34 years. We are a single-source solution from design through construction. At Frey Lutz, it's our unique, hands-on approach to every project that has won us some of the best HVAC and plumbing contracts in the area.
We are currently seeking a CAD Designer to produce coordination drawings for Sheet Metal, Piping and Plumbing projects. Candidate will be responsible for multiple Plumbing and HVAC CAD projects for both public and private clients from post award to project completion in a team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Produce working sheet metal, piping, plumbing coordination drawings for use in the field
Prepare spool drawings for use in the sheet metal shop and piping prefab shop
Coordinating with project managers and foremen in the execution of drawings
Perform updates/changes to drawings as well as as-built modifications
Change order/cost management tracking and reporting.
Project documentation related to coordination process
This job profile is not all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Minimum three years' experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products. Candidate must be professional in the work environment and be able to work well and communicate with others. Organization skills and time management are a must.
Experience in Trimble DD3D and PD3D preferred but not required
Able to read and comprehend construction drawings and related technical specifications
Effective verbal and written communicator
Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical mechanical systems
Valid Driver's license required
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding on job sites for field measuring, work in construction environments and follow safety requirements
