Job Description
Become a part of an innovative team at Ingram helping to revolutionize the way publishers make books available in an on-demand world.Ingram Content Groupis recruiting for a Library Processor to join our growing business in our La Vergne, TN facility. The Library Processor prepares books and audio visual materials in accordance with customer specifications for use in public and private libraries.
Essential Duties:
o Attaches spine labels to book or compact discs
o Sorts cards and labels
o Attaches Mylar/ Kapco covers to jackets
o Performs Stamping, Theft ID
o Performs Auditing
Other Duties
o Performs sortline operator functions
o Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Reading comprehension skills up to high school level
o Writing skills up to high school level
o Math skills - basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction
o Basic Computer Skills
o Attention to detail
o Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment
o Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
o Ability to work independently or collaborate in a group environment
o Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
o Ability to meet and maintain production standards
o Ability to maintain reasonably reliable attendance
o Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
Education and Experience
o 1 year of consecutive work experience
o 6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard
Essential Physical Demands
o Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift
o Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 60lbs during the assigned shift - 10lbs or less continuously and 11-60lbs frequently
o Ability to push/pull in a warehouse environment up to 70lbs force to push during the assigned shift - 1-50lbs continuously and 51-70lbs occasionally
o Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift
o Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift
o Ability to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends
o Exposure to wide range of temperatures
