Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Follows production/process specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Performs all work in accordance with equipment. Maintains operating records and reports of test results. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in area of specialization.
Applies basic and develops advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization. Duties and tasks are standardized.
Performs some more advanced functions as part training and development.
Works under direct supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
