Job Details:
The Shift Charge Nurse has authority, responsibility and accountability to provide clinical and administrative leadership on her/his shift. The Shift Charge Nurse utilizes knowledge of patient s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care andcontributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established hospital and organizational policies and procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an approved accredited nursing school required. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from accredited school required for external applicants. BSN requirement may be waived for internal applicants who have worked a minimum of five (5) years in their specialty and who have demonstrated strong leadership and excellent clinical skills. Current Massachusetts licensure to practice as a registered nurse is required. Current CPR certification required. Additional unit-specific education requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Five (5) years in clinical specialty required for internal candidates for whom the BSN requirement is waived. For BSN candidates, one (1) - three (3) years experience, including one (1) current year in the clinical specialty is required. Demonstrated excellent leadership skills and clinical competence in area of responsibility required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
